Indians On Deck: Cleveland Indians @ Minnesota Twins

    Cleveland Indians @ Minnesota Twins
    The Metrodome
    Minneapolis, Mn
    April 15-April 17

    Probable Starters

    Game 1: 8:10 PM
    Indians- Cliff Lee (2-0, 0.61)
    Twins- Fransisco Liriano (0-1, 7.71)

    Game 2: 3:55 PM
    Indians- Jake Westbrook (1-1, 2.38)
    Twins- Nick Blackburn (0-1, 3.57)

    Game 3: 2:10
    Indians- Paul Byrd (0-2, 6.08)
    Twins- Scott Baker (2-0, 4.34)

I think the Tribe will take at least two out of three. Cliff Lee and Jake Westbrook can get it done. Byrd I am still unsure about, but if he pitches like he did in his last start, we should win the game.

With the way the Twins have been playing lately..........I'd have to agree with you.

However, it would be really nice to see Liriano after that first game under his belt. Hopefully he got most of the rust off in his first start and can bring his velocity back up a little bit more.

    Will be a good series.

I'll get a chance to watch the game tonight on TV, hopefully. It should be a good series.

Yeah, I don't know what to expect from Liriano. I hope he makes a full recovery and pitches like his old self (except for when he's playing the Indians). He is fun to watch.

Lee vs Liriano? If Liriano can get it going, this should be a good matchup. Even better would be Carmona vs Liriano.

    Have fun this series fellas!

Wow, Cliff Lee pitches another gem.

8 innings pitched, 2 hits, 1 walk, no runs.

Indians win the game 4-0 and win their first back to back games since opening the season 2-0 against the White Sox.

Cliff Lee's ERA has not dropped to 0.40 on the season in his three starts.

Tomorrow night Jake Westbrook takes the mound for the Indians for an afternoon game at the Metrodome.

Lee looks like the real deal this season. Back to his 05 form! I saw Hafner didn't play. Is he OK?

Hafner is just fine. There was only one lefty in the lineup today (Sizemore) because Liriano is so good against lefties. Pronk will be back in the lineup tomorrow with Victor back behind the plate.

This year's Cliff Lee may be better than the 2005 version.

He needs to be better since Sabathia is having a terrible start.

Hafner has a sore left shoulder. A bit of rest should help him heal completely.
Cliff Lee is off to a very nice start. Very impressive, especially if CC and Carmona can come back to form.

Indians lose the series in the 10th inning of game three. What an anemic offensive performance these past two days.

I think the Twins' pitching had more to do with that this weekend. It was good to see the Twins' pen do well. One run in 3 days is pretty good.
