    April 16-April 17

    Probable Pitchers

    Indians- C.C. Sabathia (0-2, 11.57)
    Tigers- Armando Gakarraga (0-0, 0.00)

    Game 2: 7:05 PM
    Indians- Fausto Carmona (1-1, 2.20)
    Tigers- Justin Verlander (0-2, 6.52)

This is the first series of the season between the two divisional rivals. These are the two teams everyone expected to be fighting to win the Central this year, and so far both teams have vastly dissapointed.

Well the good news is that C.C. lasted 4 innings at least. The bad news, another 9 earned runs.

I wonder what's wrong with Sabathia. How the hell do you go from a 19 win Cy Young season to this?

I liked what I saw last night. Carmona pitched very well, and our offense lit up the Motor City Kitties.

There were also five batters hit in last night's game. This is going to be a fun summer of baseball between these two clubs.

I just hope when we go to Detroit in June that a letter doesn't arrive from MLB telling the umps to keep the reigns tightened due to last night's game. That'll keep the game out of the player's hands. A pitch high and inside will prompt a warning to each bench, when the pitcher is just trying to back a guy off of the plate.
