Indians On Deck: Oakland Athletics @ Cleveland Indians

    Oakland Athletics @ Cleveland Indians
    Progressive Field
    Cleveland, Ohio
    April 11-April 13

    Probable Pitchers:

    Game 1
    Indians- C.C. Sabathia (0-1, 7.59)
    Athletics- Joe Blanton (0-2, 3.44)

    Game 2
    Indians- Fausto Carmona (1-0, 0.69)
    Athletics- Rich Harden (1-0, 0.82)

    Game 3
    Indians- Cliff Lee (1-0, 0.00)
    Athletics- Chad Gaudin (0-0, 11.25)

The A's are Sabathia's kryptonite, I am not going to expect much from him in game one. I just hope he doesn't implose do bad that the offense has to come back from a large defecit such as 4-0. I just hope Wedge has the balls to pull Sabathia if he starts to look hopless out there.

Caromona and Lee I trust. I think we can take two of three with those two on the mound.

Time for the Tribe to extract some revenge in Cleveland!

A's are leading 9-1. Sabathia lasted 3 1/3 innings and allowed all 9 runs, all earned. Wow.

I have no idea. He did have 4 Ks, but also had 2 BBs and gave up 12 hits.

Who is this guy, and what the hell did he do with my Cy Young winner from last year?

Well today it'll be Carmona vs DiNardo. So far Camona's been great. This will be DiNardo's first start. You guys have a real good chance tonite to beat us...best of luck.

Carmona has been great since coming on last year and surprising many. DiNardo on the other hand has been more of an emergency rotation guy for the A's lately. It doesn't look to good for the A's this evening.

I think it's becoming very clear that this left field platoon Wedge loves so much really blows.

Dellucci is supposed to be able to hit righties, but he can't. Michaels is supposed to be able to hit lefties, but he can't.

If Wedge goes with platoon the entire season, the Indians are doomed. They can't hit and their defense isn't that good either.

Either bring someone up from the minors (Fransisco?) or sign Kenny Lofton to take over in left field. If the Indians do neither and stick wil Michaellucci all year long, the Indians won't sniff the playoffs.

Another good outing for Cliff Lee yesterday. I'm liking the facts that the bats are starting to come alive.

This is the second time Cliff Lee's pitching has helped get us out of a three-game losing streak...and the second time his pitching has helped us avoid getting swept by the Oakland Athletics.

Oakland takes the series 2-1, but there is hope for the Tribe now.
