Westbrook to start on opening day

MLB.com: With Sabathia out; Westbrook steps in

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- Jake Westbrook has started the first game of a season before, but he's never done so in the big leagues.

    Until now.

An injury to C.C. Sabathia thrust Westbrook into the role of Opening Day starter for the Indians. All things considered, he's flattered manager Eric Wedge picked him, although Westbrook isn't sure how he's supposed to be feeling about the assignment itself.

Not surprising considering CC's injury. Westbrook is a good pitcher and hopefully he cant at least repeat last season. (14-9, 3.38 ERA, 116 K in 30 starts)

He had a good game. He went 8 innings, with 4 hits, 1 earned run, 1 walk, and 3 Ks. I didnt get to see it either though.
