Jake Westbrook pitches a complete game shutout

Allowing 6 hits through the game, walking none, and striking out two.

Against the Royals, sure, but for a team who's starting pitching has been
slumping all season long, this was a great sign. Byrd, Westbrook, and Johnson have all been disappointing but they seem to be partially fixing things as of late.

In other fun news about today's game, Travis Hafner nailed a grand slam in his second plate appearance (after being walked), and then promptly got walked in his last two at-bats. Pitchers fear the T-man.

Westbrook is the key in the Indians rotation. If he can catch a groove, I love the Indians chances for an AL Pennant. Hes very vital in that #3 spot.

He always seems to either have a super game or get hammered...at least when I pay attention to what's he doing anyway.

Same here. I dropped him now too, and now watch him pitch a no-hitter with 18 Ks.
