Thread: Trade idea...

    Trade idea...

I hear that Atlanta's John Thompson is on the block. I also hear that they need bullpen help.

So my proposed deal would be Kent Mercker and possibly a prospect for Thompson and cash. We already have too many lefty's; so even though Mercker will put up good numbers, he probably wouldn't be missed.

Then we would just send Williams to the pen and he would be perfect for the mop-up role.

    A rotation of...
    Harang
    Clausen
    Arroyo
    Thompson
    Milton

    Hey... that's an improvement.

    And probably a pen of..
    Weathers
    Wagner
    Coffey
    Hammond
    Shakelford
    White
    Williams

I see no motivation at all for the Braves to do that. Thomson really doesn't make all that much and Mercker is old and a situational reliever.

I like the thinking, but I don't think it would work either. I love where your head is at though Cincy.

Where his head is at? His head is at making up trades that make no sense for other teams.

"LOL THE REDS WILL TRADE TONY WOMACK TO THE PADRES FOR JAKE PEAVY CUZ THE PADRES SUCK AT SECOND BASE OMG LETS DO IT!!!"

You seriously need some anti-woman elixir or something, because the ridiculous false niceness is starting to bother me. This was a retarded thread. MAKE FUN OF HIM FOR IT.

It was just the start of an idea.

And the prospect proposed could have been anyone for who knows.

Geki Ace- You seem to have a problem with controling your anger. I suggest you check out this website for help.

How 'bout you try and get a grasp on how baseball works before making asinine proposals like this, then. It makes negative sense for the Braves. Negative sense.

Redsr is just kind of our eternal optimist. Sure he might be overly optimistic at times, but I think it's a breath of fresh air to see someone who tries to stay positive.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Optimist is an understatement. A severe understatement.

And I think constantly staying positive will continue to result in disappointment and everlasting bitterness by the time he turns 30.
