A couple more trade rumors to discuss

    Source: CBS SportsLine.com

With the Rockies unlikely to move Todd Helton, the franchise is considering trading first baseman Ryan Shealy, says the Denver Post. However, Colorado general manager Dan O'Dowd said the team isn't in a rush to trade him. The Post mentions Cincinnati as a possible trade partner and writes Boston and Cleveland have previously expressed interest in the 26-year-old.

According to the Boston Heraldthe Reds have been eyeing Red Sox relief pitcher Jermaine Van Buren.

Any thoughts? I have one. Why didn't the Reds get Van Buren instead of cash in the Wily Mo trade?

Shealy would be sweet man, he's beat down every level he's played at and would definitely be the 1b of the future.

does anyone know what the rockies would want besides starting pitching?

i could see giving them wagner and a high prospect or two (not bruce or bailey). wagner, denorfia, mid prospect?

again, just speculation, since i have no clue what they would want, and it's not worth us dealing one of our top 3 starters (i'd give them williams, milton, or wilson if they wanted, but i don't think they would).

If we snagged Shealy... I'd be thrilled to say the least. Hopefully this is some sort of master plan of Krivsky's coming into action (it's not, but I can hope this is what Kriv is doing.)

If the Rockies want starting pitching then Shealy won't be a Red.

I still think Krivsky knows what he's doing and I think he'll ultimately deliver for we the fans. Just a feeling I get.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
