    Reds vs. Cubs Game 1

Today we face Wood and he is awesome when he faces the Reds. We will have Belisle on the mound who had a good outing against the Cards his last time out. Hopefully we see the same Belisle that we have so far this season.

    Vs. Wood

Looks like Pena has had a little success so he should get the start. Also, Wood is coming off a bad ERA at 5.84 and an 0-1 record. So he will be looking to capitilize.

    Go Reds!

Pena has a .684 OPS vs Wood. Not good. But Griffey and Kearns haven't been any better. Case has also struggled against him.

Dunn .877 OPS, Jimenez .831 OPS, Felipe(1.214 and Randa(2.333) have both hit well off Wood.

But Miley will start Aurilia over Lopez even though Aurilia has been trash against him.

I am going to play a quck game of frisbee golf and will be back home just in time for the game. Enjoying the awesome weather today.

Anyhow I just got done playing a quick game on PS2 between the Reds and Cubs. Had my hopeful lineup set up and played a game against Wood. Wood lasted 8 solid innings after I got 2 runs off him. Then Belisle lated 5 innings and the bullpen took over after he tired out. So it was 2-2 in the ninth and Freel got a base hit with two outs off Dempster. Then Dunn came up and I stole 2nd base with Freel. Next pitch base hit to left! Freel comes around and makes a great slide around the tag to score the winning run. And this one belongs to the Reds!

Hopefully we have some success like this today.

    Lineup:

    Cincinnati

    D. Jimenez 2b
    K. Griffey Jr.
    S. Casey 1b
    J. Randa 3b
    A. Dunn lf
    W. Pena rf
    R. Aurilia ss
    J. LaRue c
    M. Belisle p

Pena starts over Kearns. I thought it would be over Junior tonight, but Miley plays the righty vs. lefty plan and it could work out fine. Aurilia starts, boo! DJ starts and is leading off batting left handed, boo!

That Cubs lineup looks so much easier to face without Sosa and Alou.

Reds have given up the most home runs. Reds hitters have struke out the most as well.

Belisle has to leave that curve ball alone. The Cubs have definitely taken it out of the game. Another homer this time by Derek Lee! 4-0 Cubs.

Crappy opening inning guys. Against Wood too, we are in trouble. I am looking for a lot of patience right now by Reds hitters.

This one is over before the Reds even bat.

Belisle's curve was horrible that inning yet the Reds continued to call for him to throw it.
