I hate the Womack signing but I think losing Chris Booker and Kevin Howard were far worse. I think the Booker loss especially is going to bite u in the butt.

Chris Booker looked like Brandon Larson.

He put good numbers up in AAA, but was absolutely terrible up here.

Losing Booker and Howard just doesn't matter. Booker didn't have the stuff to even play at the major league level, let alone succeed. If Howard was worth anything, someone would've taken him in the Rule V draft. Both completely inconsequential in the long run.

I'm not defending the trade of Howard for Womack, just saying that Howard himself wasn't going to amount to anything.

OK, I'm here folks. Everyone run for cover.

Oh, btw, I picked choice one.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

I think you have to trade Casey this year unless you want to lose him to free agency next year. You might as well drop his contract now. Dave Williams is likely thebest we could get for him with DanO in charge and the reason being because he did not trade Casey after the 2004 season when he had a career year. We would have gotten a lot more for him then.
