Lancaster is saying:

"The Reds have signed two more journeymen to minor-league deals with invitations to big-league camp. Today's winners are corner infielder Earl Snyder and utilityman Derek Wathan. That brings the official total of non-roster invitees to 10.

The Reds also announced they have extended their player development contract with Louisville through the 2008 season. That's good news for all involved, I'd say -- definitely a partnership that has worked over the years."

snyder actually has pretty good minor league numbers, but has never been able to make the jump to the bigs. Weird how that works sometimes. Wathan is a mystery as he had a terrible year in the minors last year. Someone speculated he may be a former players son.
