im back again lol.....ok 1st off since i havent posted since the trades id like to say Good Bye Dano ya PUTZ trading casey for williams bought him a ticket outta cincy when the new owner takes over...2nd im actually starting to like the idea of having womack ( not worth howard tho) because he gives us another freel utility wise and he adds stolen bases...and if any of you have heard any trade rumblings ot signings to be could ya lemme know because im checking every site i know of every day for reds news and im not seeing much

Womack is awful. He's in Christian Guzman's league at best. He is terrible and trading for him was an awful move.

The Casey move actually made more sense. We got money in return and a pitcher who could be average this year. Casey was going to be off the books next year anyway. We got something for him, even if it wasn't a major upgrade in the rotation. At least he is a few years younger than Casey. Casey continues to decline, sadly.

a very narrow minded viewpoint on the womack trade CRF. He brings speed, bunting, and defensive replacement tools off the bench, usefull commodities to any contender. You are looking at him only as a starting player, who would have to be robust statistically and well rounded offensively, but this isn't the case for bench players. Jacob Cruz for example is a successful pinch hitter who is actually a crappy hitter overall. He fills a niche, and that's what some bench players are good for. They make a team complete.

You may need to refine your methods of judging transactions.
