except that we wouldn't be getting an mvp caliber player like manny also. he is still part of the theoretical deal you know? They need hitting, they want to get rid of bad contracts, and they have lots of good starters. i'm sure they don't relish loosing an up and coming starter, but it's a deal where they can use one of their strengths to address two weaknesses.
