Game Thread for 4/13: Reds @ Cards

So much for all of these proposed lineups.

Here is Miley's lineup for today:
(I don't HATE this one, but I don't want Casey that high, LaRue that low or Aurilia starting. I especially dislike Aurilia starting!)

    Reds:

    1. Ryan Freel, LF
    2. D'Ángelo Jiménez, 2b
    3. Sean Casey, 1b
    4. Joe Randa, 3b
    5. Austin Kearns, RF
    6. Wily Mo Pena, CF
    7. Rich Aurillia, SS
    8. Jason LaRue, C
    9. Matt Belisle, SP

    Cards:
    1. David Eckstein, SS
    2. Larry Walker, RF
    3. Albert Pujols, 1b
    4. Scott Rolen, 3b
    5. Jim Edmonds, CF
    6. Reggie Sanders, LF
    7. Mark Grudzielanek, 2b
    8. Yadier Molina, C
    9. Mark Mulder, SP

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Belisle is starting? No Griffey or Dunn could be good, and Aurilia starting after that Felo game? I don't like it. What happened to Ortiz? Oh well Go Reds I guess.

Ortiz' groin was a bit stiff, so they are starting Belisle today.

Oh Ok then I am cool with it. Good to be careful. Anyhow looks like Miley is pissed about this team not hitting and is trying something else. Hopefully it works out, but I just don't see this lineup scoring runs.

Good job by Freel to lead it off with a walk but DJ GIDP.

Hmmm let me guess what Casey did? Any thoughts? Let me give you a hint, nothing has changed so far today. Casey hits it hard, but it doesn't fall for a hit. Once again.

    Come on Belisle!

Belisle gets a 1-2-3 inning. Not a bad start at all.

Belisle is expected to throw around only 40 pitches for some reason... so it looks like a lot of Weathers and Co. today.

Once again lead off hitter gets on, then Kearns GIDP. Nothing has changed yet! Just waiting for a spark.

1-0 Cards after an Edmonds HR. Belisle seems to be returning to Earth.

That could be the game already...sadly. This team is SO awful. Just pathetic.

How did the Reds get the first run? Anyhow we are up 2-1 after a Randa RBI. I love Randa.
