Tonights matchup:
Vs.
Eric Milton Vs Josh Fogg
(7-12,6.47)...(6-9, 5.04)
Since the begininng of July Fogg has went 56.1 innings with a 6.23 ERA. So hopefully the Reds can tag him for a ton of runs, so Milton can get a W.

Griffey got a hit and that was it in the 1st
Hit by Sanchez, but nothing else by the Pirates in their half the 1st.
with griffeys hit he is batting an even .300 on the season.
couple of walk for the reds in the 2nd but no runs.
RICH AURILIA!
Cruz drew a walk, Ray-Ray pinch-ran, and Aurilia doubled to the gap to score the tying run! 1-1, 2 outs in the ninth. Junior with the walk, so now it's 1st and 2nd with Dunn up. Come on, Dunnsy.
And Dunn with yet another pop-up. He's been absolutely awful lately. 1-1, going into the bottom of the ninth.
Whoo! Weathers let two guys on with one out, but got Daryle Ward to ground into an inning-ending double play. Ray-Ray and Felipe make a pretty DP combo.
Hehe. Reds put up 3 off of Joe Table in the top of the 10th. Now they just need Mercker to nail it down for a nice comeback win.
Well, Mercker really tried to lose it in the bottom of the 10th. Let the first two batters on, even though EdE made an awesome play on the first batter (Casey dropped the ball, though it didn't count as an error). But Bay lined towards EdE and it bounced right in front of him to get a double play. Double by Cota scored Bay, but Mackowiak struck out looking on three pitches to give the Reds a 4-2 win.
MVP: Eric Milton. 8 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K. The only run he gave up was on a solo homer by Ryan Doumit, and he had a great outing. Mad props to Aurilia, though. Doubled in the tying run on an 0-2 count and 2 outs in the top of the ninth.
Merker looked shakey out there tonight but got the job done. Milton pitched great but doesnt get the descion. Weather got the win, Mercker got the save. MVP: Milton even though he didnt get the win.
With the win we are now tied with the Cubs for 4th place and only2.5 games back of the Brew Crew.
He may not get the win, but he gets MVP tonight. Eric Milton is a prime example why I think we need to keep Vern Ruhl as our pitching coach.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games
