Freel back to the DL with the quad injury.

According to Rotoworld and ESPN, Freel's on the DL and can't return until September 1st. Aaron Holbert has been called up to replace him.

And as soon as I post the thread, this pops up on RotoWorld.

    Ryan Freel - 2B - CIN

Ryan Freel will undergo surgery Thursday after an MRI revealed torn cartilage in his right knee.
This won't necessarily sideline him for the rest of the season, but he figures to miss at least three or four weeks. Rich Aurilia should have quite a bit of value in NL-only leagues while Freel is out. Aug. 16 - 7:02 pm et
    This is very not cool.

Damn, that sucks. I hope Freel is back soon

I want Ray Ray playing, not Aurilia!

Uh-oh, Casey left the game. Dunn's at first and Wily Mo is in left. If Casey's out for a while, this offense is gonna take a serious hit.

Casey has a strained left shoulder, apparently.

Is the grandma who's better than Freel been called up yet?
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Of course not, instead of calling up the hot prospect in the Grandma - we call up Holbert

C'mon now, Holbert can't be that bad. He was a first round draft pick of the Cardinals

Thanks bipster! I was hoping he wouldn't be out for very long.
