Okay Homer, you shocked me! Very encouraging start from him today. Loved this Opening Day game for Reds pitching.

Arrived in Cincinnati late last night after canceled flights and long drives to other airports. I'm here though.
Breakfast, Hang Over Easy next to the University of Cincinnati. Pretty good spot.
Stopped and had Gold Star Chili last night. Decent.

That was a tough game to watch, but got exciting a couple times... Until Peraza stepped to the plate.
The fans in the crowd were not at all polite about it either. The dude flat out isn't getting it done. But, it's early. We will see...

LaRosa's is grub y'all! Frisch's Big Boy isn't bad either. Good food here in Cincinnati. Gonna be leaving bright and early tomorrow.

Opening day is today, Cincinnatians know that opening day doesn't occur till the parade, and that's today!

No 0-12 with 5Ks Peraza in the lineup, Hamilton batting 8th, Winker first... It's a good day!

Shebler out with the elbow is a little concerning, he didn't look good after he got hit, but maybe it'll be just a day-to-day thing.

All I know is SP Tyler's team will win today!!! (Tyler Mahle vs. Tyler Chatwood).

Reds made it interesting yesterday when Doolittle came into close the game. I have Suarez on my fantasy team so I'm hoping he can have a solid year!

It was definitely a fun game.

I'm basically going to jump on the Pennington is better than Peraza wagon already. Although, I expect him to be pretty terrible as well. Pennington did look great on both sides today though.

Pennington's diving stop into a Double Play was HUGE!

Peraza just hasn't made me confident, and if he has options, send him back down.

    Re: Random Reds Ramblings

Too small of sample size, think Amir Garrett last year. Great start, but can that continue, baseball is about adjustments. Mahle was painting his pitches beautifully yesterday. Right on the corners, if he continues that, heck yeah, Greg Maddux lite. But if he starts to get wild at all, he could be in trouble.

I'm very excited about the start though. Big for him and the organization.

    Re: Random Reds Ramblings

Mahle honestly looked as good as any pitcher I've ever seen in a Reds uniform yesterday. But I agree, very small sample. Yet extremely encouraging as well.

What would your (current) ideal lineup look like with this team?

I'm very excited, for some reason, to see if Bailey can build off his last inning and keep this thing going tonight.
