    I would have tried to win the game, not make EdE happy. Not the time to have him hit and lower his confidence, since he clearly doesn't seem ready yet. I think the team needs wins to have some momentum going into next year more than we need EdE hitting in that situation.

    That too. He was pretty awful with his constantly moving strikezone. He squeezed the Reds' pitchers a lot.
