    Germano Makes AAA Debut

    In the bottom of the 4th inning now. Germano's stats so far:

    4 IP, 4 H, ER, 2 K

    Sounds good so far to me, hasn't walked anyone and is getting lots of ground balls. Only blemish so far is in the 3rd. He gave up 3 singles in a row.

    Not bad. Hopefully he is working on things rigt now too. This is definitely a good look for his first outing.

    That's solid. 7 base runners in 7 innings. Ground ball pitchers like him won't ever have impressive strike out stats but what you hope for is that they make up for that with double plays. Looks like he got one of those from the noted you posted. Guys like him can turn into Derek Lowe or Brian Lawrence, two guys we'll see this week. I like the fact that he's already had a taste of the big leagues. He's gotten those first few learning experiences out of the way. While it's true some guys like him turn into AAAA players but some become serviceable major league pitchers and those kind of pitchers are an upgrade from what we've had this summer
