LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Derek Lowe looks for consecutive wins for the first time in over two months when the Los Angeles Dodgers open a four-game series against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday.
Lowe (6-10, 4.04 ERA) snapped a personal five-game losing streak last Wednesday by tossing seven strong innings against Philadelphia. He yielded just two unearned runs and won for the first time since June 6 against Detroit.
Despite going 5-5 at Dodger Stadium this year, Lowe has posted a 4.71 ERA in 10 home starts. The righthander is 0-1 lifetime against the Reds.
The Dodgers went 3-3 on their trip to Philadelphia and New York and picked up three games on first-place San Diego, which was 0-6 against the same teams.
After dropping six straight decisions from June 4-July 7, Aaron Harang (6-8, 3.88) has won his last two starts for the Reds. The righthander recorded his first complete game of the season in Cincinnati's 9-3 win against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.
Harang is 1-1 with a 4.97 ERA in two career starts against the Dodgers.
Adam Dunn's homer in the ninth inning lifted the Reds to a 3-2 triumph over Milwaukee on Sunday. It was Cincinnati's fourth win in its last five games.
