im exciting to see how Kearns will do with his first day back on the job in cincinnati. I really think you'll see a changed baseball player.. just hope we don't trade him.

I would feel a lot more comfortable with Wily in LF and Dunn at 1B. Could this be a sign of things to come in the future?

Probably the best lineup i've seen all year. Sub in Randa for Aurilia and it's pretty much dead on what i would have now.

    I would have done this:

    Freel
    Lopez
    Dunn
    Griffey
    Kearns
    Randa
    Pena
    Valentin

yeah, that works too. It's amazing how easy it is to make a good lineup with this team when you take Casey out of the 3rd spot. Could also work to switch dunn and Lopez, or griffey and kearns.

I'm sure Casey will be right back in the 3rd spot tomorrow.

i agree with you have an OF of WMP/Jr/Kearns

but who would take Casey? trading Casey to me is our solution.

There have been small rumors that Minaya of the Mets had interest in Casey. If I am Dan O (and thank God I am not), I would be calling Omar, not demanding a spect like Petit and willing to send Casey and a boatload of cash. Be smart about this Dan O. This offense can win next year if you don't blow it up and Casey is one piece of the puzzle we can afford to lose due to the salary and production we have got.

    griffey singles with two outs
kearns first AB back, doubles to right on a 1-2 pitch, but for some reason griffey was held up at third. With two outs i thought he would make it around.

Here comes Dunn. grounds out to second.

Dunn seems to often make an Out when he is too aggressive and worried about making contact.

he's definitely got to improve in that department. He had a great shot at 2 rbi there.

Milton cruised through the top of the 2nd.

Aurilia went deep to lead off the bottom of the second.

Wily Mo and Valentin struck out, Maddux is 3 away from 3000.

    Milton singles, freel singles.

FeLo grounds out to second on the first pitch. A little more patience would have been good there.
