Reds What's more likely...?: Reds edition.

The Cincinnati Reds. The Big Red Machine. The fighting Joey Vottos. There's lots of questions surrounding the team going in to 2012, so let's get to them.

Can Joey Votto lead the Reds to the playoffs for the second time since 1995? Will rookie shortstop Zach Cozart bring back memories of Barry Larkin...or of Gookie Dawkins? Can Sean Marshall and Arolid Chapman make the transition from the bullpen to the rotation? Will the Reds actually miss Francisco Cordero?

Sean Marshall with be Set up behind Madson.

Aroldis, as much as it pains me to say it, will be in AAA or the bullpen. Homer Bailey doesn't have any options left and they wouldn't get fair value for him. So unfortunately he'll be in the rotation.

Also, my hope was there would be another choice, Chapmans arm rips off and hits the batter with the ball still in hand...

Agree with Zod. Marshall will not start. Locked in at set-up.

    We will not miss Cordero.
And I think Chapman will start in AAA working on being starter. Unless injury forces him to ML bullpen. He will be one expensive AAA starter...thats for sure.

My bad on Marshall, I read that he was going to be a rotation candiate when they got him, and then the contract signing seemed to point towards that.

I went with Phillips-Molina...I just didn't like any of the other choices too much. I'm not saying I'd be surprised if Votto lead the team to the playoffs again in a down division, and won MVP...but it's not as likely as two guys who hate each other fighting again.

    Scary, eh?
