Cozart up to the majors... FINALLY and maybe D-Train on the tracks

In a move that's about a month past it's due date. Zach Cozart is being called up to the big league club according to Fay and a number of other people. Not official corresponding moves.

Some rumors that Dontrelle is coming up today also. If so he's probably an extra arm after that extra inning game last night in case he's needed. If he's not needed rumors are he's starting Sunday in Edison's spot.

Cincy Radio host Lance Mcallister, "How about the drafting under Wayne Krivsky as Reds GM? Cozart will become his 9th draft pick to make it to the big leagues."

More from Lance, "Cozart: 0 for 4 last night.....1 for last 12 and 3 for last 20....batting .150 in July."

Like I said about a month past expiration date. He was smokin' during June.

@D_Train35 (dontrelle Willis) "Come to park and see Cozart's locker empty and i was juiced!!! Congrads to Zach and the Cozart family."

Looks like Willis didn't get the call up yet....

It was Fischer who got the official call up for Volquez.

The way he's pitched in AAA, especially recently [3GS, 21IP, 20Ks, 1BB] yes, I do have more faith in him than I do Volquez at this point in time.... Course I have more faith is Chapman to start than Volquez right now...

I usually like Lance but his obsession with these "Krivsky draft picks" is a bit annoying. I heard him earlier trumpeting these guys and some of them aren't even semi-household names - and with good reason.

And I'd rather watch almost anyone pitcher before more Volquez. Blah.

    His season to this point:

    13 starts, 5-2 record a 2.63 ERA, 67Ks 20BBs

He's been deserving. This team needs to find a spark in the worst way, his energy should be amazing.

I'm not saying he's the 2005 D Train, but I am saying I'm excited to see how he does Sunday.

And CRF, I heard him talking about that today and yes "oh, copied pasted my notes wrong....6 picks from '06 draft: Stubbs, Valaika, Smith, Heisey, Turner, Roenicke/ Cozart w/ Frazier & Horst '07."

Is no all star draft picks

He'll do better at the plate, than on the mound.
