Heisey swings at a pitch way inside to end the inning. Terrible patience offensively tonight. 4-1 Yankees after 7.

    Arredondo in to pitch.

    Granderson walks. Stunning from Arredondo.

Janish drops a throw on an easy play at 2B. Runner moves to 3B on the steal attempt with 0 outs still. This shouldbe blown open very shortly.

What does Janish do well exactly? Even his vaunted defense has been shaky at times.

It's time for some minor league options at SS if they aren't going to spend the money needed for a better SS.

Of course acquiring better pitchers should trump everything but I just don't trust Castellini to spend the needed money.

Granderson scores on a wild pitch to make it 5-1 Yankees.

Unless something dramatic happens I think I've had enough talking about this game.

This is why I roll my eyes anytime Duhhhsty appears with his aggressive approach to hitting. Tonight is a perfect example, from what I have heard average stuff but walks guys (32 bb/37 ks)so what do we do? Swing at almost anything close. What happened to the offense that would work a pitcher and get it to the pen early of which its a black hole for NY until you let the game get to Rivera.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games
