Still think this is the one spot on the entire team that Walt and many Reds fans stumbled. I lost count of the number of Reds fans Ive read on a couple sites saying "dont worry about pitching, we got Volquez coming back in July.." To which my response was how many players come back from TJ surgery AND DONT F'ING SUCK. Just look at Francisco Liriano he had a freaking 5 ERA and predicted that Volquez would be closer to 5 than 3. I wish Volquez had an option year left he needs to be in AAA getting his stuff back there not hitting the dirt with more pitches than he hits the strike zone with.

At the very least he ought to be in the pen.

It usually takes that long to recover. Vloquez came back kinda early and that's probably his problem.

Tim Hudson had it in 2008 as well and managed to pitch well in 7 starts in 2009 and has a 2.28 ERA this year.

I say you put Homer in the rotation and put Volquez in the bullpen. There's no way he should be starting games this soon. Its only been 8 months.
