Thread: Reds vs. D'Backs 7/9/05

Casey walks, first and third with one out for Jr. Great time to add to those 58 RBIs.

*&^% Jr strikes out, Casey steals second, another perfect situation to score down the drain. Randa grounds out to end the inning. We are killing ourselves and not helping Claussen one bit.

hehe Webb shut you guys down

Time to go for me, D-backs one out man on second. Coffey relieves Claussen. So far Claussen has done great with NO run support.

Claussen having a good start with no run support? That's a shocker.

Alright Casey! Ground Rule Double to score Lopez, 2nd and 3rd with one out. Griffey gets intentionally walked...Randa nubs out, Ray-Ray tagged out at home. 2 outs, come on Dunnsy...

Whew. My adrenaline is still pumping from that. He went the other way with it, also. Gogogogogo Dunnsy.

Great ending, and yep Claussen finally got some much needed run support. I know most would give the MVP of the game to Dunn for the Grand Slam, BUT I would give it to Claussen who pitched a good game.

777fak, yep Webb had the right stuff but the final is what counts.

You know, Claussen was great, and I loved Dunn's slam, but I honestly might give MVP to Casey. He was the only reason the Reds scored at all until Dunn's slam, and we wouldn't have gotten to that point without Casey's big double. He also made a very nice defensive play to save a run or two. He definitely warrants consideration.
