    Reds Reds sign first round pick C Yasmani Grandal to a Major League deal

    the University of Miami catcher will get $2.99 million and a Major League deal.

    That means Grandal will get a spot on the 40-man roster.

    Glad it's done. I heard it was a four year deal.

    Micah Owings designated for assignment to make room for Grandal. I digged Micah, seemed like a nice guy, but with our pitching depth, he was an odd man out.
