After reviewing the replay more and more, Cueto was being backed up into the net BY HIS OWN TEAMMATES. He was never attacked by a huge melee. Nothing and I mean nothing excuses him for kicking players in the back and head with spikes on. He can cry being scared all day long, kicking like a girl with spikes on is not only weak, it's inexcusable.

When you're being shoved up against a wall uncontrollably you don't really take the time to pay attention to the clothing that's being worn by the guys doing it.

Carpenter is the one that yelled something that set off the 2nd scrum. Without his loud mouth chirping in whatever it is he said then we don't have Cueto pushed vertical and he wouldnt have needed to kick and thus LaRue wouldnt have gotten kicked. To me its like driving down the highway and you cutting someone off and causing 10 other cars to wreck because of your stupidity. Carp should have to pay the price for lobbing whatever verbal insult he said that led to Cueto getting pined against the fence and panicking. Because you watch the video yes Dusty drops couple F bombs directed at Carp and the Umpire turns completely around to tell him to shut up so the umpire heard it too. That is when everything broke loose.

I dont care substitute Bailey, Harang, CoCo, etc as the one who hurled the insult toward LaRussa and it was Carpenter who got pinned and started panicking my feeling would be the same. Whichever Red instigated the 2nd scrum should miss the same amount of games/starts for creating the situation because without the one you don't have the other.

Again what was the thing that got the 2nd scrum started? Whatever Crissy HIMSELF said set Rolen off, which led to the pile being pushed into the netting, getting Cueto tied up, and Cueto panicking, and apparently LaRue getting a concussion. Again goes back to my initial point if Crissy didnt open his mouth then the rest of that crap doesnt happen.

Okay lets play this out in a couple different scenarios. Cueto gets shoved up against the net and is unable to grab onto it. He falls and while the pile is pushing and shoving say LaRue or (insert Red here) steps on his wrist and snaps it like a twig and he's done for the season what do you say then?

Or he gets kicked inadvertantly while he's on the ground causing a concussion at best, broken noise, and a bunch of other potential injuries what do you say then?

Other scenario. He gets pushed into the net and as he's hanging there gets his ankle snapped against a foot and the wall and done for the season what do you say then?

I'm not saying it was the brightest move, but he went into survival mode he had no other way of approaching it. Again I say anyone who says they wouldnt have kicked is lying or lying.

Cueto didn't exactly have the benefit of watching a replay to analyze what was happening and what the right course of action would have been.

It's easy to sit at your computer desk and rewind the video tape/internet feed or whatever form of media you're using and call him a ***** for kicking people but he was the one that was actually in the heat of the moment getting bumrushed by a large mob and shoved up against the net and off his feet.

HAHAH I guess I'm a liar because I know how to fight and wouldn't start kicking like a *****. . Your scenarios are absurd and in no way justify a man kicking people in the face or back with spikes on. That's right, he was kicking Carp in the back? How is he in harms way with a man's back turned to him. Cueto knew what he was doing. Have you seen LaRue's face? Almost got an eye taken out!! Where was this survival mode? Being pinned against a net is somehow lethal now? He was in no real danger. He was not the only one pinned. There is no excuse, period! Hell, it was Nix, his own teammate, that was pinning Cueto against the net!

No I was not and neither was Cueto. Cueto was being pinned by his own guys. Look closely, Nix is pinning him with his arm in his chest. Again, nothing justifies a man kicking people in the back and face with spikes on. Nothing.
