First real "bad" start for him, as he lasted only 4 1/3 innings. Against the Giants. Yuck. He gave up 11 hits and allowed 5 runs, including 2 home runs (to Aubrey Huff and Aaron Rowand, what?!) and walked 4 batters. Bump in the road, hopefully?

Fortunately, the main thing is that the Reds were able to win in spectacular fashion once again, coming down to their last at-bat. Drama!

He has to adjust, learn from mistakes, and develop. Technically, he should have been doing this in the minor leagues, but he jumped right on to the battleship so it's basically trial by fire. Not only that, even the best have bad nights and bad stretches.

I turned it on late in the game expecting to see it pretty quickly over and then all of a sudden it was like the Phillies remembered how to hit for driving in runs. Freaky.
