Leake time! Already a nice tailing slider to strike out Kurt Suzuki. He's dealing.

Somehow he's only given up 1 run despite 5 hits and 4 walks. That's the A's offense for you. He's got 2 k's.

Gio Gonzalez is dealing. 6 2/3 so far with 9 k's. 1 walk and 1 unearned run.

Prov, what do you think about Gio? Admittedly, I haven't seen him pitch much but I am in a deeper fantasy league and his K/9 is intriguing... control seems to be an issue though.

And yeah, a shaky start for Leake but he again finds a way out of trouble.

Gio's problem right now is consistency. When he's on, he's on...when he's not the walks are up and he gives up runs. He's got really good stuff though. If he can ever get some consistency, he'd be solid.

Thanks for the info Prov, I think I might keep an eye on him.

And Zito, is it really luck when the pitcher is driving what happens? I agree that he has been more lucky than not, but its hard to question his ability to get out of jams when you watch how focus he gets in those situations. In those situations, he really pitches like he is a 10 year vet (and a pretty good one at that.)
