Hanigan gets more playing time, so that's a plus.

I was at Arroyo's last start. It was brutal to say the least. It went from him only throwing 22 pitches in the first two innings to throwing 85 or so in 4 innings. He better get on track or we won't find a poor schmuck team to take him at the deadline...

Roy Oswalt going for the Astros. Oswalt is 23-1 in his career against the Reds.

Basically its going to come down to Arroyo vs. Oswalt. The Astros and the Reds' offense both suck, so the first one to 3 might win tonight.

Yeah, I am not for sure what to do here. I always get suckered into watching the Oswalt games and therefore watching him put on a pitching expo against whatever junk batters we have for that year. Hopefully tonight is different and we can eek out a win.

The more this section hates on Harang, the more they win?

Arroyo had a bad outing IMO. He did strike batters out when he needed to, but he got hit a ton and walked more than his share. I really didn't love the start from a numbers standpoint, but at the end of the day, he got the job done and kept the Reds in the game. I give it a so-so performance mark, but would say that he is nowhere near the Arroyo we need him to be still.

Bruce is heating up! Phillips looks good in the two spot! Drew Stubbs finally getting things going? The offense looks pretty good right now and other than Coco, the bullpen looks good as well. How about Herrera? Dude has flat out got it done so far. On Cordero? I think it is only a matter of time before that WHIP catches up with him. For me, he is still struggling. When was the last time he had a 1-2-3 inning? Has he done it at all this season?

Yeah, I am being picky today. But I honestly think this win doesn't come against most teams. But having said all that, I am happy to see this team back at .500. Hopefully these winning ways take them to St Louis tonight with a bit of a high and some focus.

The majority of the game was boring. Arroyo was pretty decent considering what he did a week ago against the Padres. The TV broadcast said that Dickerson has a sprained right wrist. Don't know if it is lingering or something he did during the at bat. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes on the DL (Chris Heisey is smoking the ball in triple A right now)

If he goes on the DL, I'm sure Jerry Hairston is available on the padres. Haha.

    Sorry reds fans.
