    Why???

Harang is garbage and yet he continues to get a pass from Reds fans. Every day on the radio waves, callers talk about giving Harang time to figure it out and saying that he has bright moments. Its the same type of pass that Carson Palmer gets in Cincinnati when he plays a crap game. I simply do not get it.

Yeah. I'm getting tired of that big red "NA" next to his name on my fantasy team.

    Re: Why???

Harang has been garbage this year, no doubt, but he did have bright spots last season. He has retooled his mechanics and while I am not for giving him an unlimited free pass, but somone who did as much as he did for the organization deserves some time to mess-up. Its not as if he is the only bleak spot on this team keeping us from 1st place, or even .500 baseball.

Oooh. 14 runs, 18 hits for the Dodgers. They scored in every inning except the 4th. That was a beatdown.

    Re: Why???

The bigger question is where the hell did his slider go? If Price can help get him that pitch back, he might be able to bounceback, otherwise...

    Re: Why???

The question is how long do you keep running him out there every fifth day? The Reds put up 6 runs, 4 of which were scored when Harang was in the game. That wasn't enough support for him. That's a problem...

That should usually be enough against the dodgers.

    Re: Why???

The Dodgers are an insanely good hitting teeam. Six runs should never be enough against them.

Anyhow, I am starting to wonder if Harang's tremendous weight loss has played a role in his woes the last few years. Whatever it is, he simply is not the Harang we knew and I don't believe we will see it again. This team desperately wants to see him do big things in this first half so that he can be a bigger chip this trade season.

Wait, so you're saying that Harang was a better pitcher when he was fat? Heh heh.

They're not insanely good. They have 2-3 guys actually hitting right now. They use Garret Anderson for crying out loud.

Unless MLB AB app is wrong, there isn't a starter not named Blake DeWitt that isn't hitting at least .300. The Dodgers are hitting at a bigtime clip.
