Check that. That blunder was all on Rafa, who failed to cover second base after Dewitt passed the ball to Belliard and cycled to first.

Pete Rose was in attendance tonight, hopefully he had some solid cash laid down on the game.

Masset is not having a solid start to the season though, hopefully this is just a funk he is in and not an indicator that something is way off...

This team can hit? I'm sorry but I will not expect this to continue. But for now, it was a good offensive showing for once. Now if we could just get a SP to go longer than 6 IP and have a bullpen less Graves esque. Really, our record should be much worse than it is. Its sad to say, but I think this team needs a shake up of some kind. And we can't look at the "studs" in AAA either. Anyone seen their numbers? Pathetic. Perhaps this organization should invest in better player development.

I'll take the win though. Hopefully they can surprise me and build off this one.
