Valentin walks
mission: Tell me what you are seeing from the Reds tonight under Jerry Narron. I am curious to hear what you have to say.
Kelly K's
Rolen grounds out to FeLo
Kenny Kelly just injured himself on a play that wasn't even to him
I think it's too hard to judge at this point Steak. Sometimes the Reds have looked like a very good team like when they had a competitive series with the Orioles and other times they have looked like they don't care and just don't belong. I don't know if we can chalk tonight up to a team meeting held by Narron and these boys have the fire back to win or if it's just capitalizing on a poor performance by the Cardinals.Originally Posted by Steak
One thing is for certain however, in the long run for the 05 season we will be better under Narron IMHO. All reports indicated the majority of the clubhouse had lost respect for Miley and that just can't fly. I think Narron is a manager who won't be as easy going and will demand the players efforts and respect. I think Miley is a good baseball guy and truly a nice man but the role didn't suit him. His clubhouse was a hell and I believe it will be different under Narron. We'll have to see how this plays out, as always the question isn't the offense but the pitching so we'll see.

Seabol doubles into Right center
Belisle makes a nice play on a line drive by Taguchi, Nunez then singels to right....Seabol moves to third
Diaz grounds out
FeLo grounds out to second
Aurilia and Casey single
Bergolla hits into a DP
Stone came on to pitch the 9th:
K'd Eldred
Grudz grounded to FeLo
Pujols grounded to FeLo
AND THIS ONE BELONGS TO THE REDS!!!!!!!!! 11-4
MVP: Valentin 1-2 HR 2R and 4 rbi
MVP for Valentine as well.
Claussen had a pretty rough start and not the prettiest stat line but it was decent enough today with the offensive production. Going 6 IP vs the Cards is a tough feat... even when one of the stars is out.
Congrats to Narron on the first win. And thanks Bip for the PBP.
