Game Thread For 6/7--- D-Rays @ Reds(Welcome back Sweet Lou!)

So far, only the Reds' lineup is up, but it's interesting for sure:

    Freel 2B
    Randa 3B
    Casey 1B
    Griffey CF
    Pena RF
    Dunn LF
    F. Lopez SS
    LaRue C
    Ortiz P
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

I really wish we would move Casey out of the 3rd spot, he could be so much more effective elsewhere. Anyway, interesting lineup, just glad to see Freel getting some start time today. I don't know what else the guy can do to prove he belongs in the lineup. He can't get anymore scrappy.

    Dunn batting 6th? Lopez 7th?

I ****ing hate Miley. And DanO. And Allen. And Lindner.

I don't hate Casey in the 3rd spot right now... I did earlier in the year.

I can't stand having Dunn 6th and Lopez 7th though. Just ridiculous. Dunn will never get anything to hit if he keeps down in the order like that. Also, they reward Lopez for his stellar play lately by putting him 7th?! I can't take much more of this.

I am starting to think they want to tank on purpose. Keeping Milton in the rotation. These lineups of late. But really that is hopeful thinking, because if it isnt that, we have the STUPIDEST people in baseball. We've all essentially accepted that as fact but you try to deceive yourself into not believing it; it's almost too painful to accept.

the players hate Miley now. I was reading a little while ago the Reds players are making fun of his lineups and small ball attempts.

I'd like to see Dunn choke slam his ass.

Casey is a nice player to have in the lineup but till he gets his homerun stroke back, I really don't know if we can justify him batting 3rd since there is such an extreme risk of DP with him there and Freel with his knack for getting on base. I do agree Casey has been much better as of late and isnt hitting into DP's as often, the risk though still makes me uneasy with this inconsisent lineup. We need as many baserunner's as possible staying on.

And I agree on Dunn and Lopez. This team just seems not to care about the young players and what they think of the organization yet will do cartwheels for the vets happiness. I hope they realize these are the impact players we need to be focusing on pleasing so they stay in Cincy for a long time...

From what I heard the players still like Miley as a whole for being a nice guy and all but they have essentially lost all respect for him as a major league coach. Which obviously is what matters.

Well, I agree on the HR, but he really hasn't hit into the DP's lately.

With these players, this is what I'd like to see right now:

    Freel 2B
    Lopez SS
    Dunn LF
    Pena RF
    Casey 1B
    Griffey CF
    Randa 3B
    LaRue C

Yeah, the DP's have been cut down as I noted but I just don't like the risk there.

I love that lineup though pending Pena's performance. He might need awhile to get back into the groove of things with his large amount of time off.

Just a slight rain delay I see. I hope Ortiz is on tonight.
