They've lost simply due to an unbalanced lineup, as constructed by Krivsky. Bruce will hopefully solve a lot of those problems.

    Jocketty's upcoming goals:

    * Add a couple of hitters who can, well, actually acquire lots of HITS, particularly in the clutch. Also try to make sure those players are good defenders

    * Add a couple middle relievers who can get the needed outs

    * Fill out the back of the starting rotation

I expect him to try to make some of his shrewd moves before long, and continue from there.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Preferably at CF and C I would think.

    Agreed

Fill out the back of the starting rotation
I like the future with Harang, Volquez, Cueto, Arroyo (maybe), and Bailey/Thompson. But if Jocketty could score another ace to go on top of all that, I would be ecstatic.
