Patterson starts over Freel again tonight!!!

I am sorry guys, but this has to be a mortal mistake. I have tried to be right there with you CRF in defending him because of his good defense, but his bat is so far off the pace of Freel's that he cannot be viewed as an option whatsoever.

I know the manager far knows better than I do, but this is ridiculous. I am flat out pissed off right now beyond measure. I trust many Reds fans are foaming at the mouth over this and I just don't know how it is expected to be tolerated.

I suspect Bruce to be coming up too, so both Patterson/Freel will be on the bench, traded or released, depending on the situation.

There is no excuse for continuing to bat Patterson in the leadoff slot. Dunn would make a better leadoff hitter because he actually gets on base. I'm not as crazy as Bob Boone but really Patterson has no business there.

I've given up that aspect of things with Duhsty. He's going to continue with that assinine aspect of the lineup until the Reds take his toy away (IE Release Patterson). Until then I'm not tuning in til the ceremonial first out is out of the way.

HA HA HA HA HA! That's not how Dusty works, and I tried to tell every Reds fan about Dusty's ways in spring training. Yet some people on the forums picked the Reds as a surprise team. Dusty is a HORRIBLE manager. The veterans do like him though, because he rarely benches the bad ones. I'm amazed he hasn't convinced the Reds to bring in Jacque Jones.

C-Pat is now a Dusty player. When you become a Dusty player on a Dusty team, benching is NOT an option. Freel will play when Patterson needs a day off. I used to go crazy when Neifi Perez would start over Ronny Cedeno. When crap outfielders would start over Matt Murton. Cedeno is starting to develop under Piniella with playing time.

Seriously Dusty has NO plan, he's not worried about winning games. He's going to sit on the bench, twirl his tooth pick. He's going to keep the same lineup almost every night. Anyone with half a brain could make a better lineup then Dusty. It's just his ways, and they will never change. He's a horrible manager.

So telling a Reds fan that he is seeing a bad manager at work, is definitely not anything new. I still like him better than anyone else we have had in a very long time. We should have never extended Narron and gone hard to bring Sweet Lou home. He would have been here to kick some keysters in line and not afraid to do it.

Ya but I mean you could see as an opposing fan what he did with the Cubs.

2003 - Burned out the arms of Prior and Wood. Attempted to do so to Zambrano, and if not for the aces the Cubs suck this year.

2004 - Mismanagement of players such as Corey Patterson and LaTroy Hawkins caused both to regress horribly. The end result was the Cubs blowing the Wild Card lead the last week of the season.

2005 and 2006 the Cubs with a payroll of $90+ million were expected to do something. Both years under Dusty's reign they did horribly. Even with D-Lee's 05' monster year.

2007 - The only big signing was Soriano, everything else was basically the same team. Despite Lee's non-power year coming off that wrist injury. The Cubs were able to make the playoffs with a real manager making good decisions.

2008 - You poor Reds fans.
