Griffey to get a day off

ESPN - Reds manager says Griffey's benching not for fly ball error - MLB

Not that big a deal, all sides agree that the benching has nothing to do with the dropped fly ball yesterday. Griffey just seems to be pressing with HR #600 on the horizon. I think that he will take this day off very well(as he has shown), and will hopefully come back to form and show that he's still got talent.

Well, either that or something else is imminent...

That could be it as well....however, I can't imagine this kind of move being made unless a trade would be made in the next 24 hours. And I don't think talks have been anywhere near serious enough to justify that reasoning

From what I have heard, the Mariners are in the process of figuring out the logistics of bringing Junior back. They desperately need someone to put butts in the seat, so I doubt it will be too much longer before Junior returns to Seattle.

Possible, but there's still much to discuss between the two teams before that becomes a reality
