    Three In A Row!

Are we heating up or what? We just won our third straight game!

    The bad:

Dunn sucks in the clutch. Bonehead move by BP to allow that hit from Dunn to hit him with the bases juiced. Bako stealing 2B vs Molina? Patterson continues to use that uppercut swing. He sucks at the plate and is killing us right now. Put Hairston out there if you are going to refuse calling up Bruce.

    The good:

EdE has range and is sticking bigtime right now. BP looks much better at the plate, Arroyo wasn't good but he was considerably better than any outing previous to this one.

Cueto goes tomorrow! Then Harang! Get the brooms ready!
(on our way to 10 straight)

    MVP: Encarnacion

Great play to end the game! I saw Pujols did what he does best and get the hit but Edwin spoiled it as he made a great play on a foul ball from Glaus?

    It was Duncan...(I believe)

Yep I forgot that part of teh good as well, our bullpen was very good tonight. 5th best bullpen ERA in the NL baby. Not bad. Plus Coffey is down and Bray is up, so it got even better. Affeldt has been huge and was excellent tonight. I also liked how Baker used Burton in the 7th against the 2-3-4 spots in the Cards lineup. Good move there.

And Arroyo got the win tonight. That should ease the Arroyo bashing for at least what, 5 more days? hahahaha....

He pitched pretty well tonight really. Quality start is all you really need from your 4th starter.

Maybe you guys could trade Adam Dunn for a sacrifice fly.

Yep and he is definitely our 4th starter. The scary thing is, we really are undecided on our 5th. It would be nice if that were Arroyo. Perhaps Lehr or Bailey can get things done up in Cincy.

It would be interesting to throw Daryl Thompson out there too. Despite him only being in AA.

    Re: Three In A Row!

Patterson should be moved to the 7th spot in the order, but I have no problem with him in the lineup. Still has a .500 SLG percentage and his defense will continue to be good. Although Hairston seems to be swinging a hot bat right now, his career numbers make me very nervous. Corey's better offensively and definitely defensively.

Dunn seems to be heating up, so I'm not too worried about his bad luck due to Phillips' poor decision-making.

Maybe the Edwin haters will finally shut up? Not likely, however, I'm guessing.

And Bronson might have started to turn his ship in the other direction tonight.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
