    Frank Thomas

I have been listening to the radio this morning and Mark Amazon was talking about the Big Hurt. He thinks he would be a good fit in the Nati. I don't see it. Votto is our second best hitter and I wouldn't sit him for Thomas ever.

Plus, Thomas left the Jays on account of not getting enough playing time. Why would he want to sit the bench with the Reds?

Then you think about how everyone is crying for a RHB. Well C Trent explains the idiocy of that idea:

For all the talk of the Reds needing right-handed bats, their left-handed bats haven't been so good. In the series against the Brewers, left-handed hitters for the Reds had one hit off Brewer starters -- all right-handed pitchers. The lone hit by a left-handed hitter against a Brewer starter in the series was a double by Adam Dunn in the second inning of Saturday's game against Jeff Suppan.
The offense as a whole needs to start hitting. But Frank Thomas is not the answer.

Stay away! This would be a terrible decision, hopefully the only ones considering this move are the media. Let us pray.

Mark Amazon sounds like a real dumbass. Does he know Thomas hasn't played an inning since 2004?

run Reds fans, run away fast. Frank Thomas is an AL player cause he can only DH. He is a useless commodity in the NL. Plus his contract is way too high to be a bench player. I am not a Reds' fan, but I would NOT wish him on any NL team. He serves no purpose for an NL team...

Nope, Reds need a right-handed hitter. Well, thats what everyone is screaming. But, the Reds really just need hitters altogether. Lefty or righty. We need to hit.

Hell if we do that, let's just stick Griffey back in CF, move Dunn over to RF and go for a defense that the Bad News Bears (at the start of the movie) could top.

Better yet, deal Adam Dunn for Matt Stairs and a popsicle.
