Nice game by the Reds today! Good offense and good pitching got the win. So, we can actually play baseball at times it seems. Whatever it was that got this team here, hopefully it sticks around for a while. We need to get a whole lot of more wins just like this one.

    MVP: Freel

Claussen did deserve the MVP as well, as he looked better today than any other game he has had. I just hope that it was just not a fluke and that he can continue for a while. We could use some more outings like this.

I gave it to Freel because he kept the offense going all day and from that amazing catch in center to rob the HR. He is simply amazing in all aspects of the game. Look for him to sit tomorrow to make room for the incredible Aurilia.

Its good to see that the team showed up today. Hopefully they can keep it going. I think management will grant the MVP today to Aurilia. He is the key to the Reds winning and will now be in the lineup for the rest of the year.

5 RBI... gotta give it to Jr. today. Great game. His production numbers are starting to look more respectable now.

I had to give it to Claussen since good pitching performances are so rare for the team. Also, even w/o Junior's 5 RBI, we still probably won the game because of the pitching performance.

Claussen's line looked pretty good but I didnt see the game so I went with the biased vote.

2 ER in 7.2 for Claussen. Miley could have left him in for the last out if not to start the 9th, but it was iffy for him being able to keep going, so he pulled him.

I am still waiting for a big K game from Claussen like 7 or 8 at least. Don't get me wrong, great start tonight (especially for a Reds pitcher not named Aaron Harang). Hopefully Claussen is realizing he doesnt have the fastball he once had and he needs to rely on making his breaking pitches more effective and better located. I really hope he can continue like this (because he has looked better of late) and to get Hudson back SOON.

He was throwing the breaking ball for strikes much more often today than what he had been. He was getting ahead of more hitters with the breaking pitch, and it really helped him out in a big way.

We definitely could use Hudson back though. That final rotation spot is as questionable as the Milton spot.

It looks like Belisle will in fact start on Tuesday night.

Ramirez needs to go back to AAA, he is not ready at all from what I have seen. Besides, he is only like 22 or so, right?

I believe that's correct, and I don't think he's ready, but I think he has some potential. I like his movement. He just has to work on being consistent and smart with his pitches.

I agree with Ramirez. Hes not ready and thats why they should have never called him up to begin with. But I am not against him staying in Cincy and learn how to pitch in the big leagues.

What is the latest on Hudson? When is he expected to return?

MVP Claussen IF we could get almost 8 innings from the starter and only give up 2 runs everyday then we wouldnt be double digits behind the Cards in the division.
