Baker has talked to Prior and Wood

''I talked to Mark Prior [Wednesday], and I've heard from Woody and some other guys,'' said Baker, who will turn his focus to managing the Reds once his current gig as an ESPN analyst ends after the World Series.

This is interesting. I wouldn't object to anything as this guys still have untapped potential. As long as the FO doesn't go after these guys thinking they are the answer to our prayers.

I am sorry for the bad news Reds' fans. Why would he want that headache is beyond me?

It is such ridiculous, that it is almost funny. But I know as devoted Reds and baseball fans, it is not. Probably wants to make you cry.

I would if the Brewers were talking to Wood and Prior.

Great! They can join Griffey on the ALL DL Team. Wood does not have untapped potential.

sorry, but this isnt even really a topic of conversation or shouldnt be. Sure he can talk to mark and kerry as friends, but thats it. after the world series, he can talk to kerry in a formal sense since he is a FA. But mark? any express desire to want him would be considered tampering since he is cubs property until (more likely unless) they decide to nontender him.

more bullshit by the slumtimes, really.

I wouldnt mind Wood coming in here, he showed he could work out of the pen, maybe with time be sort of a Norm Charlton spot starter. I would certainly not be opposed to bringing him in for the pen. 24ks in 24.1 IP this year, certainly a better gamble than Stanton, Guardado, and Majewski among others at this point.

Mark Prior... done unless you can go back in time and get pre Dusty Prior.
