    First Red to be Traded?

FWIW, I predict we'll have a trade by the end of the weekend. Question is, whom will we be dealing?
I bet one legend that keeps recurring throughout history, in every culture, is the story of Popeye.

Re: First Red to be Traded?

I am going with Conine. The Reds seem pretty happy to keep Weathers and want a ransome for Dunn, Hatteberg likely would be a bit more expensive to some and I see Lohse in a deal on the 31st.

Conine would be one of the first to go to show trading season has begun as he won't cost too much talent in return but would be useful to a team during the stretch.

I'm thinking Lohse may very well go, he's one of the better options in MLB as far as starters go right now.

However I expect Conine will be the 1st to go.

When and how the Reds add to their five World Championships, nine pennants and nine division titles seems less important than the franchises' lineage, which traces a line back to the dawn of the professional game and their role as keeper of the historic flame they lit by birthing the Red Stockings in 1869.

Conine, with Lohse following close behind.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

I went with Lohse here. Conine makes more sense with the addition of Cantu. I know I shouldn't think of Krivsky making all kinds of moves at once, but I still think Lohse goes first for reasons Rijo mentioned. There is just not that many SP out there to be had.

Phillies will come calling I bet.

Hatteberg.. probably best market value compared to what we expect... Market isn't huge for Conine, plus he may stick around to platoon with Votto.. Reds probably like Weathers more than any other club, Dunn won't be moved due to high asking price, and I don't know if we could give Lohse to anyone

Believe it or not NFLman, due to the limited market for arms and everyone wanting one, Lohse has interest. I don't think it's top prospect interest, but I think we could do a bit better than Zach Ward which would be fine with me.

    Nice call.

I'm not allowed to give you any more reputation, unfortunately.
