Daugherty is saying on Extra Innings that he heard the FBI was at the game tonight because someone had threatened Bonds' life.

And a couple callers just said that security escorted several out of the stadium for simply yelling "steroids" and "juicer" to Bonds. They said they were told they couldn't say anything negative about Bonds unless it was sarcastic and said with a smile. Wow.

What the heck happened at that stadium tonight?

Multiple reports of fist-fights, sounds like even more drunks than usual. Some escorted out of the stadium for saying "steroids" to Bonds.

I wonder if it will still be like that on Friday or Saturday if I go one of those nights? Holiday crazies?

Wow...and near the end of the show, two ladies called in and said ushers wouldn't allow them to return to their seats after going to the concession stands, etc. and when they asked why the ushers said "because Barry Bonds is batting."

I know at almost every game I go to I cannot go back to my seat until the AB is over. It is like that no matter what at Coors Field. I know it was like that in other places as well too.

But yeah, sounds like some crazy security there. I bet the guys were pissed for being escorted out. I remember during Bonds 3rd AB you could hear the crowd chanting something. Sounded like A-hole, but I couldn't be sure.

That's the strange part though. It is not usually like that at GABP, but was for Bonds. What a sham.

Mackanin on pulling Belisle:

“For me, what it boiled down to is after the bit of adversity,” Mackanin said, “I didn’t like the quality of the stuff afterward. I can’t take the chance to send him out the next inning without the command of his pitches. I’m going to have to go to somebody else, and I’d rather give them a fresh start.

“Hey, this is the major leagues. You want these guys to develop . . . "

This I can get used to. This is what we need to be seeing from a manager. Nice job here.
