This team has found a recent trend of winning. Coming off some really close games and wining games by the closest of margins, they are prime for some sort of continued momentum. Arroyo is on the mound tonight after quite a few blunders of late. He is now over a 5.00 ERA (5.01) and needs to get out of this funk.

Its time to make a stand Cincinnati Reds. Its time to show whether or not you are a contender for this 2007 season. Can you achieve the impossible? Can you reassign a new way of dreaming for the fans?

After a much needed break and an offensive drought a few nights ago, its time for this team to build on recent momentum. I am excited, are you guys with me?

I'm on board. I think Homer's breathed some new life into this team.

    Why is Hatteberg leading off?

I agree man. I need there would be some form of passion when Homer came up. And now t has extended over the past few games. After the walk off basehit (despite the poor offensive performance0 this team is ready to keep the fire burning.

I am excited about this game and hope Arroyo can start getting it back in gear.

I know it looks odd because he is not your prototypical leadoff hitter with speed. But I like him leading off due to his high pitcher per AB and good OBP.

This lineup has some quirks to it, but overall it's a lot better than the average lineup we've seen. Hatteberg is damn weird to see leading off, but with a dominant pitcher like Escobar going, maybe Hatteberg can set the pace and give the rest of the lineup an idea of what he's dealing.

Big chance for Arroyo tonight. The Angels are the type of team that could knock him around. But if he can show up tonight and pull out a W, it may be exactly what he needs. They have to win tonight IMO b/c I feel tomorrow night is going to be close to impossible.

hopefully arroyo has found himself since his last start. I like hatte in the leadoff spot he see's alot of pitches and is a good contact guy.

Agreed and we really need to take this series (and about every season) if the front office is determined for this team to get back into the hunt realistically.

this lineup has the potential of power. 1-7 can get on base atleast a third of the time.

    this should be good.

I am home now guys. Have a lot of housework to do, but I am pumped about this game because it has so much meaning for some reason.

I will not be doing PBP, but will be here to chat it up.

Arroyo gave up a hit that inning but nothing came of it. Ks Escobar to close the inning out. Intentional walk after the 3-0 count to Willits pays off.
