Everyday Eddie threw off the mound today and Bill Bray threw live BP for the first time in quite some time. We could sure welcome back those two with open arms.

We need to start winning, especially against NL Central teams around or ahead of us in the standings, so I hope so!

I am going to the game Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon and hope we are playing for a series win by then.

We certainly need both of them, although knowing Jerry, Stanton and Weathers will still be the primary setup/closers regardless of who is with the team, while younger players like Salmon are banished to pitching once every week or so.

I really hope the hot hitting can continue with guys like Junior, Freel and Hamilton because a win against Oswalt (even if it comes after he leaves) would have to be a huge confidence booster.

The Bronson Arroyo bobblehead commercial is a pretty good laugh even after all of the times I've seen it.

Why did Ensberg call for time there? Lohse was almost in his motion and it just seemed like he was messing with him. I am surprised the ump gave it to him.

    Berkman fouls out to 3B.

Freel falls into the stands to make a great catch as he tumbles over!!

    Astros 0, Reds coming up.

Yeah, I don't care for that last-second calling for time on either side.

I liked Lohse's pitch location there in the 1st. Hopefully that continues.
