Whats up - I'm new, I posted at RedsZone, until they split the boards - and then even though I had 1,000 posts I wasn't deemed "worthy" enough to post in Game Threads or their elitist forum. So I sent them a PM back and left a board message to delete my member name and came over here. It's not as crowded over here, but hopefully more people will visit.

    Hey, what's up?

Welcome to the forum. Make yourself at home.

Yeah what's up with that post you left? Evrything you wrote except the title is gone? It must have been heck of a way to go huh? Wow

When and how the Reds add to their five World Championships, nine pennants and nine division titles seems less important than the franchises' lineage, which traces a line back to the dawn of the professional game and their role as keeper of the historic flame they lit by birthing the Red Stockings in 1869.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and glad to be here. I've been looking for a good Reds board to post at for a while now and I really wasn't happy with what I saw at RZ. Anyway, this place looks pretty cool...I look forward to talking with everyone.

Didn't see a gameday thread........but I was wanting to know how Ross is doing after the collision at homeplate ? I know he stayed out there, but was removed.........haven't heard anything here about him, so I figured I'd ask the reds fans......

Hello all I'm Redlegz, I was over at Redszone but their "no Gamethreads/We're better than you guys in the Sundeck" thing is getting old. Nice to see another site I can go to now.

Re: New Reds fan? Introduce yourself!

Hello everyone, glad to have found this site!

Why are you a Reds fan?
Have been since birth, raised by a hardcore Reds fan my dad
    Favorite current Red?

Edison Volquez, in his short time in Cincy I have loved watching him pitch
    Favorite All-time Red?

    Eric Davis
Why did you join the site?

Was searching google for baseball sites and this one definately caught my eye graphically, then after messing around thought it was based on a good foundation of baseball fans.
Do you like the way things are going for this team?

I think the Reds are on the right track. Another starting pitcher could never hurt and consistency from the offense is much needed.
    Is baseball your favorite sport?

    of course

Reds Re: New Reds fan? Introduce yourself!

Hi Everyone. Long time Reds fan. Saw this over at Redszone, so decided to come over and take a look around.

Why are you a Reds fan?
My first hot dog, profanity laced rant, sip or beer, and taste of tobacco all occurred at Riverfront with my father being the negative influence leading the way.
    Favorite current Red?
Hopefully Jay Bruce if a few months.
    Favorite All-time Red?
    Barry Larkin
Why did you join the site?
Sick of being a second class citizen over at redszone.
Do you like the way things are going for this team?
The future looks bright, but I would much rather have the present being the bright spot.
    Is baseball your favorite sport?
    Definitely

I am not assuming people don't know this, but it did surprise me when I found out a few years ago. The reason the Reds always have their first series at home is not because they are the first professional baseball team. It is because back in the day they were the furtherest south Pro team and therefore had the best chance of favorable weather on opening day.
