    F the ORG

Wouldn't be possible. The two sites are set up differently.

I'm glad to see a bunch of names I recognize.

Dude, come on. I'll be honest; I'm not a fan of MOST of the newly constituted ORG members. I'd say my favorites are split about 50/50 between the two groups. So I'm pretty torn. It's totally juvenile; I'm avoiding it over there right now because it's just embarrassing how puerile it's become among a lot of adults. Folks, don't kid yourself: it's just like a grade school playground over there right now.

An FYI, I was kiddin about another split.

I wish some more of the Sun Deck guys would wake up and stop trying to fit into a club, and come on over here. Some of the posters on SD are 2x better than ORG -- minus the egos and elitest attitudes.

Hello. I saw a link in a thread at Redszone intimating that some of you were heading over here and thought I'd check it out. It looks like a lot of good posters who didn't make the cut are finding their way here, and so I might have to do what I do with the Bengals boards I frequent and just check two of them every day.

    Yachtzee...welcome abord.

Feel free to stay around for the trials and tribulations of "Reds Titanic: 2007."

Have you found a good Bengals board? The only one that seems to have any staying power is bengalsinsider.com and people are pretty nasty there.

Footballhuddles.com used to have a good Bengals board, but the guy running the place allowed mods for the Steelers board to butt-in and mod posts on the Bengals board and things got personal to the point where some long-time Bengals posters were being banned for "personal attacks" against Steelers fans posting on the Bengals board. All the Bengals fans ended up bolting for other boards, and it looks like a lot of them settled either at bengalsjungle.com or go-bengals.com. The first is a good board, but many of the posters have a tendency to blame Mike Brown for any little hint of negative press surrounding the club. The second is more positive, but has absolutely no language filter, so it's not the place to go if you aren't a fan of profanity or might have kids looking over your shoulder.

Hey guys, just a quick note. We ask that you do not talk about other message boards on this site. It is just a security thing for us as we hope to not lose all of our members to another site.

Talking about redszone right now is ok because we have to be honest with ourselves. Most of you guys have come from there and we all know what it is.

But, if you guys want to talk about other sites, we have no problem with you PMing eachother. I in this example you were talking about a football site. But we have a sister football site to our forums. The NFL Forums . So we have to try and limit advertisement to other message boards.

I know it sounds a bit hypocritical because many of you were recruited recently. But with have to maintain our rules for the sake of the site. Put it this way, lets say you guys stay here and learn to really love it. You develop the same passion you had for redszone into a passion for strike3forums. Then someone comes on here and advertises another baseball site to talk about the Reds. Would you be worried about losing many of the mebers that eventually became someone you really enjoyed conversing with?

In no way am I upset, I just wanted to address the issue.

By the way, welcome to all of you I have not talked to yet. Glad to have you.

Re: New Reds fan? Introduce yourself!

    About the split,

It will never happen here. I can't compare us to redszone and refuse to do so. But we have very strong leadership here with an amazing focus. We want to make this place very user friendly and very entertaining at the same time. Our main goal right now is recruiting and maintaining a standard flow of great content.

We have the leadership in place, the best looking baseball forums on the internet, all kinds of features to enhcance your liking, sim leagues, casino, forum writers who create articles, graphic designers, so many things that create a better feel for how a baseball forum is supposed to be.

We are a united group of leaders who are trying to expand. In no way will we make a decision to divide mebers from eachother. That is not to say that it was the wrong decision made at redszone. But obviously, it had an effect. We cannot afford to lose quality members, so we will never jeapordize our members capabilities.

There will be times where I have to talk a lot of you into calming down. Some Team Leaders may be harsher than I am or at times I may come at you hard. But realize there are a lot of personalities to control and we do our best to keep everyone comfortable.

Welcome back Jr's boy! Glad to have you back in place.

Griffey is simply amazing. I remember you defending him when we were saying trade him. Stick around, those discussions may be coming back soon.
