Welcome to TeamSelig now as well. Introduce yourselves if you'd like.

Very glad to have you aboard.

You posted about the same time as me Selig. Haha.

Yeah, we are trying to grow. We are fairly new still, but we are getting there. We have a pretty good group of Reds fans here so feel free to talk baseball whenever you'd like. Very glad to have you aboard. If you need anything at all, just ask.

    Welcome to all.

I am sure some of you recognize a few of us here from that other site, as we do/did post there.

    Help make this forum grow.

The atmosphere here is as lax as a Jerry Narron clubhouse apparently is.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Don't go comparing us to Narron's associates now. We aren't that boring.

We are just grateful to have more Reds fans.

So how 'moderated' is this site? Over at Redszone you really had to watch what you say, but sometimes i'd rather talk more casual w/o worrying about offending people. Either way I will follow the rules, just wondering.

As long as you are not trolling and just here to cause problems, you will be fine bro. I am sure we will not be seeing any problems with you.

We all will debate withone another and it will be my job to try and break up the hatred and get the focus back on the team and not on eachother. So as long as you stay away from beating up on people and trying to prove others wrong all day, you will be just fine.

We encourage thought provoking content and making people think. And will love to just flat out talk Reds baseball. Bring that with you, and you are a welcome force to the site man.

Sounds good. Just saw a reputation button lol... how does the rep work on this forum? Or, better yet, is there a Strike3ForumsForDummies page?

    Here you go man.

    This should get you started:

    http://www.strike3forums.com/forums/faq.php

Lots of features on this site not found anywhere else. The rep system is pretty nice. It is basically a mathematical formula that totals your post amounts and equates your rep given to make an ERA. In other words, the more posts you create that gain rep, the lower your ERA.

Now, the person with the lowest ERA isn't awarded any special opportunities that otherscannot have. All are treated equal here. It is just a cool thing put in baseball terms and you kind of see where you stand with those around you. But it does not measure you in any way whatsoever.

Also, I should have showed you this earlier, but here is a link to our forum rules:

Check it out when you get time. Pretty much like any other site.

    Hi guys,

I am new today. Thought I would give this site a test run to see if I might like to become a regular contributor. I decided to try out this forum due to the losers over at redszone.com thinking they are so special they don't need to allow other kids into their playground.

    Anyway, gotta love them Reds!

Glad you checked in Atomic! Just like everyone else, let me know if you need anything at all. Other than that, feel free to take up this forum and make of it what you will.

There is a whole lot to do here and many baseball fans throughout. We are just grateful to have you guys. You will see that we have some knowledgeable fans here who enjoy debating their take on the Reds as much as you do.

Welcome once again and we hope to see you stick around.

welcome to the forums all the RZ refugees. i'm a lurker there and i saw what happened...i had ORG access too and this new system took it away.

you'll find here that things are pretty much laid back here. we like to talk baseball to the max, be it reds, brewers, yankees, etc. also checkout the clubhouse and homeplate artwork for more fun.

gamethreads here aren't as half as strict as the other forums...we get in our arguments and we let them play out (at least i hope so )

hope you enjoy it here. if you need anything feel free to post or pm any of the team leaders/mission/fishercat/redsrbetter. or just post it, everyone here is helpful.

Re: New Reds fan? Introduce yourself!

Why are you a Reds fan?
    Father knew what was right

    Favorite current Red?
    Edwin Encarnacion

    Favorite All-time Red?
    Chris Sabo

Why did you join the site?
    Redszone.com's elitism

Do you like the way things are going for this team?
I don't like the perceived direction however the minor leagues have 4 or 5 guys that could make a big difference in the years to come

    Is baseball your favorite sport?
    nope, soccer

Tell us all something that you don't think we know about the Cincinnati Reds.
So far harang is pitching better this year than he was last but is much more unlucky this time around oh and Jerry Narron is an idiot...

    Hey thatcool.

I do have to slightly disagree regarding Harang. He has some good peripherals, but based simply on scouting, I am concerned, as I have been for a bit now.

I simply get a bad vibe watching him both in person at games and on TV. Everything about his delivery and his velocity seems off for the most part right now.

I hope he's OK, but I have some reason to believe he is at the very least not 100 percent right now.
