    Just hearing that now.

    Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

    Elizardo will probably end up making Claussen's next start.

    I do not like this. The Lizard is young and was making progress, why rush him?

    Yeah, I would have rather we called up Keisler or someone else.

    I really don't understand these moves with our young guys. I don't think they're ready and for a team hellbent on playing vets like Aurilia, it just doesn't make sense.

    Now that Aurilia is on the DL, I expect Bergolla to be starting at 2B with Lopez at SS. With Freel starting occasionally at 2B. Even though Freel is currently the better player, they need to either play Bergolla or send him back to AAA to get everyday AB's.

    well what is messed up is they have been playing FeLo at 2B, now he is the only SS we have pretty much and you are going to ask him to move back to SS, I hope it doesn't screw with his head too much.

    I agree with all of that.

    Although I like the move in the sense that they sent Aurilia to the DL and they are trying something, I would have picked someone else before Ramirez.

    And Bergolla probably won't play much. I just don't see it happening.

    I agree. I don't think it will effect him too much in the longterm due to the short amount of games he has played, but if they put him back at SS, they need to keep him there.

    that is what i am hoping on, that he lights it up at SS and give them no reason to put Aurilia back in the lineup

    What does Steve Kelly have to do to get a look? This guy continues to get looked over time after time. He's nothing terrific but he is ready and could be ok I suppose. But jeez...

    (Kelly is posting a 2.31 ERA in 35 IP)

    His numbers are too good for O'Brien. You have to fulfill TWO requirements:

    * Be an older player

    * Play poorly

    Those are The Two Golden Rules of Dan O'Brien

    Or:

    * Be a younger player

    * And not be ready

    Exactly opposite on both ends of the way it SHOULD be, LOL.

    It's like with the one end Dan O says: "Oh, they will recognize the name, they are sure to love this move," And on the other end: "It's one of our better prospects that everyone knows, they gotta be a fan of this."

    Cincy is a practical town for the most part, we just want moves that make sense and is best for all parties involved. Bergolla riding the pine is not good considering he was tearing up AAA pitching.

    Bingo. We expect things to make sense, and when they don't, watch out, because Danny Graves' feelings will get hurt.
