    Wagner

Whats up with Wagner? One day he looks unhittable the next he gets shellacked.

With all the talk about taking it slow with the pitchers, did we rush Wagner up and not let him further develop out of the limelight? This is the second straight year that he has started out hot and then turned into the North Pole on Christmas. We seem so overly careful with everyone else why did we rush him up and only give him 9 app? I think Bailey saw more than that in the short time he pitched last year before getting shut down!

That's certainly possible. It's really odd though. He looked so good, and now he looks off.

he's only had two bad nights, both 5-1 leads when he entered and 5-5 when he left. Other than those two, he's given up two runs. Answer, stop bringing him in with 5-1 leads i guess.

I still have faith that he is a major league pitcher. Afterall, he is our best guy in the pen, and perhaps is our best pticher on the entire team. He has my vote in that catergory. But, I do wonder what is going on with his inconsistency.

i was mostly kidding before, but i think there might be something to the level of intensity that he brings when a game is close. You could see yesterday that he wasn't focused as much as he usually is, and maybe that's because he thought he could take it easy with that many runs to work with.

Just look at him right now. He did well to end the inning and his slider is back on tonight.

He still needs to be our closer. He is the only consistent strikeout pitcher we have. He will learn from the occasional bumps in the road.
